To Our Valued Friends and Customers:

In 1997, my business partner Neil Heuer and I started a web hosting company as a remedy for frustration. We were hosting several websites at various companies, and found that quality customer service was absent from the industry. As web developers, it seemed like every time we really needed support - evenings, weekends, or at 3 AM with a deadline fast approaching - the "support departments" of our hosts were nowhere to be found. We were lucky if web hosts that claimed to be 24x7 really were there from 9 to 5. Many of the services claiming better support were overpriced, and they still failed to deliver. It seemed impossible to find a great combination of service, price, and features. With that in mind, Neil and I set out to build a better hosting company. We started with service.

Believe me - that was a huge leap over the competition - but we quickly learned that there is much more to the customer service equation. When we look for new team members, above all else we identify candidates with a talent for taking care of people. Understanding the technology is important, but it takes more than that to join our team. At HostMySite, our culture requires nothing less than complete dedication to the customer. I have met many brilliant technical people over the years who want nothing to do with customers. Those people have no place at our company. No matter what the job, it is the responsibility of every employee here to fulfill their duties with the customer in mind. That means technical support, customer service, sales, research and development, server administration, and management. To me, that is the only way to do business.

These are exciting times at HostMySite. In just the last year, we have been able to provide our customers with an upgraded call center, a new hosting control panel, an enhanced and redesigned website, and a second state-of-the-art datacenter. These things are part of our never-ending quest to continually improve our service.
