How do I recover my password?

The following article explains how to recover your password if you lose it or forget it. When the Retrieve Password option is used, an email is sent providing a link that allows you to have your password regenerated by WordPress. Once this link is clicked, the new password will be resent to the same email account. If you no longer have access to that email address you will need to contact HostMySite. We can then reset the password for you manually.

To recover your password, please follow these steps:

1. Open a browser window and access your blog using one of the following URLS:
   • http://blog.domainname.com/wp-login.php
   • http://domainname.com/wp-login.php (blog-only hosting plan customers)
2. Click Lost your password?
3. Enter the necessary information:
   • Username: enter the username given when the blog was created
   • E-mail: enter the email address used when the blog was created
   
4. Click Retrieve Password.

You will receive an email at the address you specified in step 3. In this email, click the link provided to have a new password generated and sent to you by WordPress.
